At Workana, we are seeking a **Senior Backend Developer (Golang/Python)** to support our client in building and maintaining the technology stack of their products. These products enable secure, scalable, and efficient access to and integration of data from institutions such as social security, tax authorities, and financial services. **About the Role:** You will actively participate in the design, development, and evolution of critical backend services, working on complex third-party integrations while ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and observability. **Requirements:** * **Advanced English B2 Upper** (mandatory): you will work in an international environment. * Minimum **5 years of backend development experience**. * Advanced experience with **Golang (preferred) and Python**. * Strong foundation in **software engineering principles, clean architecture, and design patterns**. * Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining **APIs**, and integrating third-party services. * Solid proficiency with **relational databases**, and knowledge of NoSQL solutions (**MongoDB**). * Ability to write **efficient queries**. * Understanding of indexes, performance, and use of ORMs such as **SQLAlchemy** in production environments. * Experience working with **AWS**, especially services like: **Lambda, S3, IAM, EC2** (among others). * Practical knowledge of **observability**: logging, metrics, alerts, and monitoring. * Experience working in collaborative teams using **CI/CD and agile methodologies**. * **Analytical and solution-oriented profile**, with a pragmatic mindset and ability to make decisions and trade\-offs in real-world scenarios. * Location: **Latin America, France, or Spain**, with capacity to work and attend meetings synchronously with the **Central European Time zone (CET/CEST – UTC\+1/UTC\+2)**. **Desirable Requirements:** * Knowledge of web scraping. * Experience in Open Banking or Open Finance. **Required Soft Skills:** * Autonomy and ownership over what you build. * Strong technical judgment and focus on scalable solutions. * Enthusiasm for working on high-impact products within the financial ecosystem. **Contractual Conditions:** * Work Mode: 100% remote. * Schedule: Full-time (8 hours per day), aligned with the **UTC\+1/UTC\+2 time zone**. * Compensation: Between 4\.000 and 5\.000 USD per month. * Contract Type: Contractor via Workana. * Duration: 12 months, with possibility of renewal based on strong performance. **Selection Process:** * Brief asynchronous video screening on Hireflix (**in English**). * Short alignment call with a Workana Recruiter. * Technical and cultural interview with the client (**in English**).
