The design of the DL model will be guided by a priori biological information and will take into account two simultaneous objectives. Single\-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA\-Seq) data from perturbation experiments will be used. The proposed framework will allow identifying key cellular responses, transcriptional and metabolic, resulting from genetic perturbations. Understanding transcriptional changes to genetic perturbations is central to identifying genetic interactions in cancer. Similarly, understanding the role of metabolism in cancer not only provides insights into the fundamental biology of cancer, but also highlights potential avenues for the development of targeted therapies. Combining these two outcomes in a single framework will allow us to better characterize the underlying transcription regulatory mechanisms associated with cancer and identify possible targets to revert aberrant transcriptional and metabolic alterations. The project will be developed at the School of Engineering (Tecnun) of the University of Navarra, in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The successful candidate will participate in the RADIOBOTS consortium, which includes Nanobots Therapeutics S.L., the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), and CIC biomaGUNE. The project aims to develop and validate radiolabelled nanomotors for the treatment of non\-muscle\-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Within this context, the postdoctoral researcher will lead the radiolabelling strategy for the incorporation of radionuclides (e.g. 68Ga, 177Lu, 225Ac) into nanomotors, and will design and conduct in vivo experiments to evaluate their biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic efficacy in preclinical models.
