Description

The position requires the interpretation of technical drawings, a fundamental skill for the accurate execution of fabrication and assembly tasks. Key responsibilities include operating specialized machinery such as sheet metal brakes and oxy-fuel torches—essential tools for working with metals. Additionally, advanced proficiency in welding techniques—including TIG, MIG/MAG, and semi-automatic red-line welding—is required to ensure the quality and strength of welded joints. The selected candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metallic structures and industrial components, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and established safety standards. Work is carried out in a dynamic industrial environment where precision and attention to detail are critical. Furthermore, the ability to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of a team is expected, contributing to the company’s production and quality objectives. This role involves handling various metallic materials and adapting to diverse projects, requiring versatility and a solid understanding of boilermaking processes. Salary will be aligned with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including a one-hour lunch break. The position includes occasional travel for technical service at customers’ premises within the Basque Country and Navarre, as well as occasional trips to Barcelona, with meal allowances covered by the company. A stable work environment and legally compliant employment conditions are offered. A minimum of four years’ experience as a boilermaker is required, with a profile equivalent to a senior or first-class journeyman. Certified knowledge of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) in all positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F) is mandatory. Prior experience in industrial maintenance or the port sector is considered a strong asset. The minimum educational requirement is a Medium or Higher Vocational Training qualification (FP Grado Medio or FP Grado Superior) in a related field, such as welding or boilermaking.
