The Advanced Analytics team develops Artificial Intelligence algorithms aimed at optimizing the most challenging processes and decisions within the retail industry. The Mango Advanced Analytics team comprises Data Scientists, Big Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Deep Learning Researchers, and Software Engineers who collaborate in multidisciplinary squads to develop cutting-edge quality machine learning algorithms leveraging the latest technology in Big Data platforms and distributed computing. Each advanced analytics squad aims to develop and evolve machine learning algorithms to tackle some of Mango's key technical and business challenges: * Generative Artificial Intelligence squad: A cross-functional team responsible for driving innovative initiatives related to generative algorithms (text, image, video, etc.), where the selected candidate will be integrated. This squad has led the development of the LLM-based AI platform for internal use cases. Additionally, it drives the transformation underway in creative processes using AI image generation models. This team conducts research on various available algorithms to assess their maturity and usefulness within Mango, carrying out proof-of-concepts and subsequent production deployment. * Personalization Squad: Develop Artificial Intelligence algorithms to provide a personalized experience to customers on Mango’s website and app, including product recommendations, fit, and size, leveraging real-time deployment capabilities and real-time clickstream data. * Pricing and Mark-Down Squad: Develop machine learning algorithms to determine optimal promotions and discounts to maximize company margins during sales periods. * Purchasing/Production Squad: Develop data science algorithms for early detection of best-sellers and to determine how many units of each product and size Mango should manufacture during seasonal planning. Due to the relevance of Mango Advanced Analytics projects, each squad has visibility and presents directly to the executive board. YOUR NEW ROLE: As a Data Scientist specialized in NLP and LLMs, you will join the team working on the research, definition, experimentation, prototyping, and production deployment of innovative solutions based on state-of-the-art generative algorithms. In your day-to-day: * You will work with complex Deep Learning models such as Large Language Models (LLMs) to address multiple use cases. You will define and conduct experiments to train or fine-tune these models according to the specific needs of each use case. * You will work with a wide variety of data (structured and unstructured), identifying relevant data sources and preparing the necessary datasets to train Deep Learning models. * You will implement prototypes of solutions using Deep Learning algorithms to validate technical feasibility and result quality with business teams. * You will stay connected to the latest developments in Deep Learning and dedicate time to bring new algorithms to Mango. You will evaluate different types of models to assess solution quality and potential utility. ABOUT YOU: * Experience developing Data Science projects with text corpora using classical NLP techniques and Deep Learning models such as LSTM or BERT. Experience training or fine-tuning LLMs in real-world scenarios will be valued. * Experience prototyping software solutions based on Machine Learning and the ability to define required experimentation in such projects. Having led end-to-end development of a project from prototype phase through to production and maintenance is positively valued. * Experience using Deep Learning-focused libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. * At least 4 years of experience in Python development or other object-oriented programming languages. * Knowledge of the theory underlying Deep Learning models, as well as best practices in training and deploying them, is positively valued. * Publications in scientific journals or conferences on Machine Learning are positively valued. * Strong interest in good programming and software development practices—tests, automations, building CI pipelines, etc.—is highly valued. * Experience working with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is valued. * A committed, proactive, curious individual with a desire to innovate and a hands-on mindset.
