




Position Summary: Eurecat is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to provide first-level support, resolve software and hardware incidents, and keep systems up to date. Key Responsibilities: 1. The technological center participates in over **200 national and international strategic R&D&i consortium projects**, holds **230 patents and 10 spin-offs**, and operates eleven centers across Catalonia, with additional presence in Madrid, Málaga, and Chile. **Job Description** ---------------------------- Eurecat, the Technological Center of Catalonia, seeks a candidate to join its team as a **HELPDESK TECHNICIAN** at its **Reus** office. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Provide first-level (microcomputer) technical support to staff members located in the Tarragona, Reus, Vila-Seca, and Amposta offices, primarily, and remote support to other offices (and occasionally on-site support). * Resolve incidents related to company software. * Collect requests for IT application-related services. * Update new software components and prevent software errors. * Provide office software support. * Provide support regarding operating system usage. * Install, reinstall, and renew company computer software. * Perform initial installations of required software on company computers. * Reinstall or install updated versions of commonly used programs; periodically “clean” systems by removing outdated programs and accumulated unnecessary data. * Keep the operating system and major software up to date, ensuring appropriate security updates are correctly installed. * Report on emerging market developments and conduct testing to propose software improvements or changes for the company. * Manage installation and maintenance of cybersecurity software. * Draft user manuals. * Provide hardware-related technical support. * Assemble new hardware equipment and peripherals, and modify or replace them as needed. **WE OFFER** * Permanent contract * Full-time employment + Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. + Intensive summer schedule * 27 vacation days per year * Hybrid remote work * Flexible compensation (medical insurance, meal vouchers, public transport pass, childcare allowance, car leasing) * Wellness platform **Requirements** -------------- **EDUCATION** * Academic qualification: Higher Vocational Training Degree (CFGS) in Information Technology, Technical Engineering, Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification. **EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE** * Prior experience performing similar tasks (Microcomputer Technician – Helpdesk). * Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems. * Knowledge of **Office, Linux (Ubuntu), and ticketing tools**. * Hardware knowledge. * Familiarity with and experience applying the ITIL methodology. **LANGUAGES** * Catalan and Spanish: advanced level required (minimum C1) * English: intermediate level required (minimum B2) Own vehicle availability for travel between Eurecat offices. **Position:** Technician **Department:** IT – Systems – SAU **Location:** Reus (Spain) **Contract Type:** Permanent **Working Hours:** Full-time **Sector:** Internet and Technology **Vacancies:** 1 **Discipline:** ICT **Work Mode:** Hybrid
