Each worker is responsible for the quality of the products they manufacture and must therefore monitor production closely. In the case of laser cutting, blueprint interpretation is not required, as the worker’s quality control is non-dimensional—ensuring the absence of burrs or scratches. The worker follows a defined work order that involves retrieving sheet metal from the warehouse using a forklift to feed the laser, then removing cut parts to sort them onto pallets, identify them, and validate quantities; once each task is completed, the material is transferred to the corresponding section. A series of management tasks is essential, ranging from material identification and registration into the computer system, separating good parts from defective ones, participating in order and cleanliness tasks, maintaining the section, and contributing to the continuous improvement team within their area. The entire process is carried out following instructions displayed on the touchscreen at each workstation.
