




Position Summary: Autoocupació is seeking a Professional Career Counselor to provide personalized career guidance to individuals seeking employment or aiming to enhance their employability in Barcelona. Our motto is “I am who I want to be.” As part of the Foundation’s growth process, we aim to hire a Professional Career Counselor to deliver career guidance under the Orienta Program at our Barcelona office. The Orienta Program is a career guidance service targeting individuals seeking employment or wishing to improve their employability. It provides personalized support, definition of professional goals, and assistance in job searching or training. Key responsibilities of the Career Counselor include: • Information, intake, and initial orientation. – Listen empathetically and understand the user’s needs. – Identify interests, skills, and professional profile. • Information and advisory services. – Provide information on training options, competence accreditation, and labor market opportunities. – Offer solutions tailored to local realities and the individual’s profile. – Conduct informational sessions on job search strategies, interview preparation, etc. • Accompaniment and follow-up. – Jointly develop a training and professional development plan with the individual. – Monitor progress, reviewing and adjusting goals as needed. • Network-based collaboration. – Collaborate with local services, training centers, and companies. – Coordinate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support. – Collaborate with other Foundation services. • Document management. – Support the preparation of reports, records, and technical documentation for program justification and monitoring, assisting the service coordinator in technical coordination tasks. – Enter and update data in training management systems (CRM, Moodle, Galileu). * Bachelor’s or engineering degree in Psychology * Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy * Official Master’s degree in Psychopedagogy * Catalan (spoken: advanced; written: advanced) * Spanish (spoken: advanced; written: advanced) * Competencies / Knowledge: Candidates are expected to possess the following technical competencies: – Analytical ability to support participants’ decision-making. – Familiarity with the training system and local training offerings. – Knowledge of the labor market. – Knowledge of job search tools and channels.
