Functional safety validation and rigorous testing In Beriáin, we are looking for a **Control and Automation Engineer** with experience to join our team. Your work will focus on developing and optimizing PLC control systems using tools such as Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and EtherCAT to ensure continuous, precise, and efficient operation in industrial environments. You will be responsible for implementing and improving logical sequences and state machines, addressing mode transitions and interlocking systems. You will also actively participate in commissioning and tuning motion and servo systems, always aiming to optimize cycle times and overall system stability. Additionally, you will design and execute rigorous testing campaigns in controlled environments, validating operational functional safety through interruption, reset, and restart tests. You will collaborate on OT/IT systems integration for full operational traceability and provide occasional support for field technical validations. Full-time work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:15, including lunch break. **Professional Experience:** 3 to 5 years of experience **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields. * Proven experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 (Structured Text) PLCs and EtherCAT environments. * Ability to conduct tests, measure results (evidence), and validate versions per scenario. * On-site work at our Beriáin (Navarra) facility, with occasional visits to pilot sites or customers.
