Currently, we are looking to **incorporate** an **Environmental Control Assistant** for a project in **Tenerife**, who shares our commitment to **quality, responsibility, and excellent service.** **Job functions and responsibilities:** * Perform wastewater sampling at WWTPs, WWT plants and other facilities, including transportation and custody of samples to the laboratory, following current protocols and regulations. * Carry out in-situ measurements when necessary (pH, conductivity, chlorine, temperature, dissolved oxygen, etc.). * Rigorously record obtained data, incidents, observations, and preliminary results. * Plan and conduct sampling activities according to municipal ordinances, including submission of associated reports and letters. * Verify proper operation of sampling equipment and ensure basic preventive maintenance. * Ensure correct segregation and management of waste across all facilities, verifying associated records. * Monitor and control non-hazardous waste management, verifying associated records. * Monitor expiration dates of valid permits (including weekends). * Support the department in environmental control and Health & Safety tasks, such as: monitoring compliance regarding discharges; conducting basic environmental inspections; preparing reports or documentation for authorities. * Conduct environmental awareness training/workshops on purification and desalination. * Identify and report risks within the facility. * Strictly comply with safety procedures. * Issue PPE and coordinate business activities (CAE). * Manage invoices and purchase orders for the area. **We are seeking a candidate with the following requirements and competencies:** * Over 1 year of experience in similar roles. * Experience using measurement and data collection equipment (probes, portable meters, automatic samplers, sound level meter). * Ability to follow protocols, technical instructions, and internal procedures. * Interpret results and detect potential non-conformities. * Apply safety protocols and documented procedures. * Technical rigor and strong sense of responsibility. * Autonomous fieldwork and incident resolution. * Focus on safety and regulatory compliance. * Effective communication to report incidents or non-conformities. * Adaptability to weather conditions or travel between facilities. * Teamwork skills. * Valid driver's license.
