Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics (MCAO) Apply https://iac.sede.gob.es Application Deadline 30/03/2026 Publication Date 09/03/2026 Managing Unit / Contact Information HUMAN RESOURCES rrhh \[at] iac.es Selection Process Code PS\-2026\-004 Number of Positions 6 Professional Category Engineer Contract Type Indefinite-term Contract Description A selection process is announced to formalize six indefinite-term employment contracts (Article 23bis of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation), outside collective bargaining agreements, under the general open-access system, with, among others, the following responsibilities: * EST Telescope Design: This activity covers all tasks required to consolidate the preliminary design of the EST, define and initiate detailed design specifications, as well as documentation-related activities necessary for the basic project and construction permit application. * Integral Field Spectropolarimeter EMBER: This activity covers tasks arising from the Conceptual Design Review (CoDR) of the Integral Field Spectropolarimeter EMBER (EST SpectropolariMeter Based on mirro\-slicEr in the near\-InfraRed) for EST, as well as work required to initiate the preliminary design phase and prototyping and verification testing activities. * Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics (MCAO): This activity includes tasks related to the MCAO technology demonstration bench and associated numerical simulations, aimed at validating and characterizing the MCAO concept for direct and adapted application to EST’s adaptive optics design.
