At Ormazabal, you will find a space to design your future and that of the rest of the world. **JOB DESCRIPTION** Ormazabal is seeking to hire an electromechanical design engineer within its Primary Distribution Division, located at the Boroa Business Park (Amorebieta), to develop medium-voltage switchgear. You will join the R&D team, actively participating in all phases of the product development process. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1. Development of **3D models** of components and assemblies, creation of **drawings and technical documentation**, ensuring compliance with technical regulations and quality standards. 2. Conducting **mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic simulations**. Technical analysis and validation of design solutions. 3. Coordination of **prototype manufacturing**. Support in executing functional and type tests, both internally and at external laboratories. 4. Collaboration with the **industrialization team** to ensure design feasibility for production. Technical support to manufacturing and suppliers during product launch. 5. Participation in **design reviews and project meetings**. Coordination with other departments (procurement, quality, production). 6. Research on **new technologies** applicable to the product. **REQUIREMENTS** * **Education:** Industrial Engineering degree, preferably with specialization in Electronics and Automation / Electrical. * **Experience:** 2 to 5 years of experience in the electrical sector. * **Languages:** English (advanced level). * **Technical skills:** \- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools; \- Knowledge of mechanical and electromagnetic simulation (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL); \- Familiarity with applicable standards (IEC, UNE, etc.) for medium-voltage equipment; \- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings; \- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and industrialization processes. * **Required competencies:** \- Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills; \- Ability to coordinate with workshops, laboratories, and suppliers; \- Capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams; \- Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement; \- Autonomy and initiative to propose solutions; \- Attention to detail and technical rigor; \- Adaptability to agile development environments. **WE OFFER:** Immediate incorporation into a leading, growing organization within a prominent corporate group.
