Lentiviruses produced by VIVEbiotech are used to treat various diseases, including hematological and solid cancers, as well as rare diseases. **We’re looking for you to join our Team!** ### **Your Role** We are seeking a **USP Development Scientist**, reporting directly to the Head of USP Development. **Your mission will be to participate in the design and execution of required USP development projects to meet the company’s development plan and sales plan. Additionally, you will support achievement of established objectives and, in collaboration with the Head of USP Development, propose appropriate scientific strategies aligned with the company’s and our clients’ strategic goals.** Furthermore, you will be responsible for generating and disseminating within the company the most advanced technical knowledge regarding technologies applicable to bioproduct manufacturing, collaborating across departments. ### **Your Responsibilities** * Develop scientific strategies to achieve the objectives of USP development projects under your responsibility and ensure alignment with your manager and the company’s vision. * Collaborate closely with our production, DSP (Downstream Process) development, analytical method development, business development, and quality teams to analyze implemented USP processes and identify technological gaps. * Support optimal use of resources to deliver technological solutions addressing challenges defined in VIVEbiotech’s development plan, sales plan, and financial objectives. * Maintain coordination both within and outside your departmental area to ensure correct and timely execution of project-related work. * Ensure traceability of data generated during process development projects to enable proper transfer and implementation of developed solutions. * Communicate and disseminate results internally within the department, across the company, and to collaborators. * Participate in the proper technology transfer from external collaborators or to respective departments or sections. * Participate, as a technical and scientific expert, in cross-functional company committees where your involvement is required. * Provide flexible support to other development sections within the department as needed during periods of high workload. ### **What We Value in You** * Minimum 3 years of prior experience in the described functions. * Previous experience managing Innovation Projects involving implementation of new technologies across fields such as biotechnology, medicine, etc. * Professional experience with excellent knowledge of various laboratory techniques, as well as technological development and innovation. * University degree in Virology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or Chemistry. * Master’s degree in a related field. * High level of English proficiency (minimum C1\). * A PhD will be considered a strong advantage. * Demonstrated ability to propose potential process improvements. * Strong teamwork capability and results orientation. ### **What We Offer You** * Continuous career development to help you cultivate your talent throughout your professional journey. * Participation in innovative projects featuring ongoing technological updates. * A competitive salary commensurate with your profile for this position. * Membership in an expert, young, dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic team united by a shared purpose: supporting our clients in advancing cures for diseases. * Personal relocation support if you are moving from another region to live in Donostia\-San Sebastián (housing, labor integration for family members, school enrollment, etc.). * A professional work environment distinguished by humanity and closeness, where diversity and inclusion are actively nurtured.
