Job Mission Ensure proactive and effective incident management for Backup & Disaster Recovery, delivering a high-quality experience to end customers. This includes proper administration of managed backup services and efficient resolution of production environment incidents, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and reinforcing trust in contracted services. What responsibilities and tasks will you handle? **End-to-End Veeam Backup & Replication Management:** * Design, implement, and maintain the Veeam Backup & Replication architecture. * Configure and optimize backup jobs. * Manage and optimize replication jobs and backup copy jobs to ensure data resilience. * Proactively perform Veeam updates and patches, ensuring compatibility and stability of the environment. **Recovery and Restoration:** * Lead and execute large-scale data recovery processes, including restoration of entire virtual machines, individual items (files, emails, database elements), and critical applications. * Design and test Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) using Veeam, ensuring the organization’s ability to recover from major incidents. * Conduct periodic restore tests and backup validations to verify data integrity and recoverability. **Monitoring and Optimization:** * Actively monitor Veeam performance, backup storage usage, and job success rates using Veeam ONE and other monitoring tools. * Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues within the backup infrastructure. * Optimize data retention and storage capacity by implementing deduplication and compression strategies. **Advanced Troubleshooting:** * Diagnose and resolve complex Veeam-related issues, such as backup/replication job failures, connectivity problems, VSS errors, and repository corruption. * Collaborate with other IT teams (servers, networking, storage) to resolve cross-departmental issues affecting backups. **Documentation and Continuous Improvement:** * Create and maintain detailed documentation of the backup infrastructure, Minimum Requirements **At least 5 years of experience in:** * Administration of Windows and Linux systems, as well as networks. * Backup systems, specifically with Veeam, Ahsay, and ARCServe. * Virtualization with VMware and KVM. * Linux LPIC certification and knowledge of bash and PowerShell. * VMware * Zabbix * Networking \* Availability to perform on-call duties.
