Sales Manager \- Meliá Castilla ***Position Mission:*** Responsible for achieving the hotel's budget targets within the MICE segment. Acquire, develop, and retain such accounts, and carry out the actions established in the sales action plan to reach and exceed the quantitative and qualitative objectives defined in the hotel's Business Plan. Ø Support in preparing budgets for the MICE segment and/or assigned markets and sectors, as well as in drafting the hotel’s Business Plan. Ø Monitor achievement of objectives for accounts under direct responsibility, as well as for Key, Strategic, and Advanced accounts with potential for Meliá Castilla, coordinating follow-up of these latter accounts with MHI Account Managers. Participate in the development and execution of the hotel's pre-opening Action Plan. Ø Develop a schedule of site inspections prior to the hotel's opening, both for local accounts and in coordination with Heads of Segments for Key and Strategic accounts. Ø Propose specific campaigns for accounts under their responsibility and ensure their proper distribution. Ø Actively participate in local professional organizations and forums related to the MICE segment. Ø Maintain smooth commercial relationships with tourism boards and key professional organizations in their Commercial Zone (Convention Bureaux, Tourism Offices), participating in jointly agreed actions (fam trips, promotional trips, etc.). Ø Promote and participate in virtual commercial activities related to the hotels under their responsibility to reach a larger number of customers more effectively and dynamically within the MeliaPro TravelLabs environment. Ø Coordinate and host Fam Trips at the hotel or those managed by MHI. Ø Plan and conduct commercial site visits scheduled to take place at the hotel. Ø Be involved in the strategic planning phase of the department and preparation of the Business Plan. Ø Prepare and execute the actions outlined in the sales action plan to achieve and exceed the quantitative and qualitative objectives set for the segment, geographic area, or sectors assigned to their portfolio. Ø Prepare necessary reports for the Business Review. Ø Receive and manage commercial client requests from the MICE segment. Ø Prepare and complete RFPs and MICE agreements, negotiating directly with the client or through the account’s Account Manager. Ø Personally follow up on accounts for the hotel and act as the intermediary for any possible issues arising from these accounts, being ultimately responsible for resolving the issue and providing a solution to the client. Ø Identify new business opportunities in traditional markets within the MICE segment and prospect accounts in new potential markets for the hotel, either directly at source or in collaboration with incoming agencies or tourism boards. Ø Negotiate agreements for the hotel, as well as draft, sign, and upload them onto the relevant internal platform. Additionally, communicate these agreements and coordinate with the involved departments. Ø Coordinate with the Group Sales Manager any meeting or group requests made by their accounts/markets for the hotel, personally supporting the finalization of the sale. Ø Coordinate with Group Desk, via the Crosselling program, any meeting or group requests made by their accounts or commercial visits for other MHI hotels. Ø Attend assigned events and commercial activities organized by third parties or by MHI. Know the budget of their department. Ø Support the department head in preparing projections. Ø Be aware of the financial results of their department, as well as deviations versus budget/forecast. Ø Ensure compliance with the financial objectives established for the department and be aware of the hotel’s financial goals and their achievement. Ø Support the department head in placing orders according to established procedures, as well as in controlling materials and services. Support and participate in talent identification within their department. Ø Be familiar with HR development plans and tools and encourage their use (Melia Home, Melia Escucha, E\-melia, development plans, Inspiring Opportunities, Graduates Programs, Code of Ethics...). Ø Identify high-potential staff and actively contribute to team development and trainees (if applicable). Ø Monitor the implementation of department-defined climate action plans. Ø Encourage team participation in wellness programs offered at the hotel. Ø Promote the use of social media in line with company guidelines. Ø Support team selection and its promotion on social media. Understand the brand philosophy, ensuring optimal implementation of standards, operational manuals, and identity guidelines applicable to their department. Ø Guarantee customer experience and personalize guest stays by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. Ø Manage customer incidents, communicating actions taken to the specific hotel’s Guest Experience Department. Ø Know and share Customer Voice objectives with their team and ensure compliance, supporting the creation and definition of improvement plans when necessary. Ø Be familiar with the Sensory Architecture established for their areas and ensure compliance. Ø Know the hotel’s services and facilities, as well as the entertainment program, experiences, and events, ensuring the team has all information needed to promote them to guests. Know the hotel’s evacuation plan. Ø Support responsibilities assigned in the Center's Self-Protection Manual or equivalent local document in other countries. Ø Ensure compliance with procedures and instructions regarding occupational health and safety. Ø Know the department’s personal protective equipment and support its correct implementation and use through appropriate training actions. Ø Assume responsibilities assigned in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Manual. Ø Highlight sustainable attributes in customer interactions (following instructions from the marketing \& brands department). Ø Ensure sustainability communication based on truthfulness, rigor, and consistency. ***What are we looking for?*** * Two years of experience in the offered position (Sales Manager) within a hotel or cluster. * Formal Education: University degree in Tourism, Economics, Business Administration, or similar. * User-level knowledge of Opera. * Proficiency with Office suite tools: advanced level. * Languages: High-level English (C1\).
