Position Summary: We are seeking a Structural Calculation Engineer to manage finite element analyses (FEA), propose design solutions, prepare reports, and collaborate within the Railway Vehicles area. CAF is an international leader in the design and implementation of integrated sustainable mobility systems. Moreover, it offers a broad range of products and services, including system design, civil works, signaling, other electromechanical systems, services, rolling stock supply, and system operation. **Requirements** ------------------- We are recruiting a Structural Calculation Engineer to join our Beasain office and integrate into the Calculations Area of the Technical Studies Department, within the Railway Vehicles Business Unit. **Main Responsibilities** ------------------------- The role will primarily involve managing FEA requirements for specific projects—performing calculations and/or overseeing their execution—proposing design solutions based on obtained results, and preparing required justification reports. The candidate will work collaboratively as part of a team, coordinating closely with other members. They will participate in defining physical tests and in correlating theoretical and experimental results. They will report findings and conclusions to design teams and defend them during technical meetings with the end customer. **Minimum Requirements** ---------------------- * **Education** University degree in Engineering (Senior Engineer/Master’s degree), preferably with specialization in mechanical/structural/industrial engineering. * **Professional Experience:** Prior experience in structural calculation projects using FEA will be highly valued, as well as proficiency with Abaqus and HyperMesh tools. * **Languages Required:** Mandatory: Spanish; English Highly desirable: Basque, French, and/or German. * **Competencies:** Customer orientation (internal and external) Teamwork and interpersonal skills Results-oriented
