Department: Our department is Innovation and Portfolio Management. We have two major strategic pillars: 1. Manage and drive corporate innovation: 1.1. We support therapeutic areas and other organizational departments by assisting with idea development and conceptualization, identifying innovative solutions, and designing market-entry approaches—ensuring impact. 1.2. We train employees in innovation methodologies and champion an innovation culture across the organization. 2. Advise on and manage the company’s non-priority portfolio. We analyze each therapeutic area’s portfolio and assess how to apply new commercial models for maximization. Therapeutic areas focus on a priority brand; our department is responsible for evaluating how to manage the remainder to generate top-line revenue while simultaneously testing new models. Prepare to make your mark. **WHAT PROFILE ARE WE SEEKING / REQUIREMENTS?** --------------------------------------------- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine, Immunology, etc.) or Business Sciences (Business Administration and Management, Economics, Marketing, etc.) Master’s student in a field related to the sector or to the internship activities (Pharmaceutical Industry, Pharmaceutical Marketing, MBA, etc.) Availability to sign a minimum six-month internship agreement. Extension up to twelve months is highly valued. High demonstrable level of Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Advanced proficiency in office software and digital tools. Availability to join full-time. Availability to start from April 2025, with the possibility of attending Novartis Barcelona offices in person. **WHAT WILL YOU DO?** ------------------------------ Implement INNOVATE, Novartis’ intrapreneurship program, which fosters innovative projects across the organization. Execute the INNOVATE engagement and communication plan within the organization. Support project management of the innovation portfolio: accompany initiatives from initial idea through to implementation, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met. Support tracking of innovation initiative outcomes, evaluate their impact, and provide analysis to inform decision-making. Engage with suppliers and collaborators across the innovation ecosystem. Collaborate with the Innovation Consultant to manage Novartis Spain’s presence at innovation events. Ensure teams stay updated on the latest innovation and technology trends. Promote an innovation culture across the organization, encouraging creativity, disruptive thinking, and continuous learning. **WHAT DO WE OFFER?** ------------------- Novartis offers flexible hybrid working: a combination of on-site work at the Barcelona offices and remote work. Full-time internship schedule with flexible hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30–9:00 a.m. to 5:30–6:00 p.m., depending on the internship agreement. Six-month internship with potential extension up to a total of twelve months. Paid internship: €969.39 gross per month. Internship experience including an initial training program, ongoing tutoring and mentoring by specialized professionals, and continuous follow-up by the HR team.
