Job Summary: We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer who combines Java backend development with AI to automate business processes. Key Highlights: 1. Backend development in Java with Spring Boot or similar. 2. Process automation using AI (LLMs, RAG, ML). 3. Integration with REST APIs and deployment in Docker environments. **Job Description** We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer who combines backend development in **Java** with AI (LLMs, RAG, ML models) to automate business processes. A cross-functional profile capable of understanding the process, designing the workflow, programming the solution, and assisting with its deployment into production. **Responsibilities** * Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for AI-powered automation. * Design and implement **workflows** combining: o LLMs / RAG for information reading, classification, content extraction, or generation. o RPA / BPM / orchestrators (e.g., Flowable, Camunda, Robot Framework, UiPath, or others). o REST API integrations with corporate systems. * Develop backend services in **Java** (preferably using Spring Boot or similar frameworks) that integrate AI models into business processes. * Collaborate with development, systems, and business teams for deployment, testing, and monitoring of automations. * Measure and report the impact of solutions (time savings, error reduction, SLA compliance, manual effort reduction). * Document automated processes and support internal user training. **Mandatory Requirements** * **2–4 years of experience** in: o Backend development with **Java** (Spring Boot or similar), and/or o Process automation (RPA, BPM, system integration). * **Mandatory** experience developing REST services in **Java** (APIs, JSON, error handling, basic security). * Knowledge of integrating external APIs (REST, OAuth2/OIDC authentication). * Experience working with containers (**Docker**) and deploying in server environments (on\-premise or cloud). * Prior integration of AI into a process (e.g., consuming LLM APIs, automated text classification or summarization, chatbots, assistants, etc.). **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience or knowledge of messaging/streaming systems such as **Kafka** and/or **Apache Flink** for event and process orchestration. * Basic knowledge of **Python** and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting, glue code, or minor integrations. * Experience with RPA/BPMN platforms (Flowable, Camunda, UiPath, Robot Framework, etc.). * Experience integrating with ITSM / ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.). * Knowledge of security and data protection best practices in AI solutions. * English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
