**What will you do?**
In KPMG’s Forensic Engineering team, we provide independent expert assistance in technical disputes arising during Engineering and Construction projects across sectors such as Energy, Infrastructure, Industry, Oil \& Gas, Building, etc. Our work focuses on determining the technical merit of a claim — particularly those related to delays and inefficiencies occurring during project execution — and also includes quantifying the economic damages and losses potentially resulting from such claims. Our work culminates in preparing expert reports submitted to judicial or arbitral proceedings, followed by participation in the judicial or arbitral ratification of these reports, subjecting ourselves to scrutiny by the disputing parties.
We are seeking a Manager \- Forensic Engineer profile, in which you will perform the following responsibilities:
* Participate in major construction disputes by supporting the development of delay analyses in accordance with internationally recognized methodologies (SCL, AACEi, etc.).
* Contribute to the economic quantification of damages and losses arising from such delays.
To this end, you will join a team of professionals highly regarded on the international stage, enabling you to further develop your professional expertise in this field. Likewise, this position will allow you to interact directly with Clients and their Legal Advisors, as well as participate in hearings for the ratification of expert reports in which you are involved.
Your professional development will take place within an international environment, enabling collaboration with Clients and lawyers from diverse nationalities, communicating with them in either Spanish or English.
**What do you need to know?**
Education: Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals and Ports), or Mining Engineering. Master’s degree in Civil, Industrial, or Building Engineering
Required experience of more than 6 years in construction, infrastructure, energy, industrial, building, EPC, etc. projects
Experience in consulting environments (claims consulting, dispute advisory, project advisory...)
Knowledge of delay analysis protocols issued by the Society of Construction Law (SCL) and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACEi)
Practical ability to interpret technical and contractual documentation (contracts, drawings, specifications, measurements, certifications, schedules, change orders, progress reports, financial project documentation, etc.)
Practical knowledge of construction claims (delays, time extensions, prolongation costs, execution overruns, change orders, reprocurement, final account settlement, acceleration, loss of productivity...)
Advanced level of English
