Description
The Agricultural Machinery Operator position is based at an olive farm, where crop management is the primary activity. Responsibilities focus on the safe and efficient operation of tractors and other auxiliary equipment required for plantation maintenance. This role is essential to ensure the proper execution of seasonal tasks demanded by olive cultivation, directly contributing to crop productivity and health. Work is carried out in close coordination with the field team, following established guidelines for each task.
Responsibilities cover the entire olive production cycle, from land preparation and tree care to harvest-related activities. Practical knowledge of basic machinery operations is required, as well as a proactive attitude toward preventive equipment maintenance. The work environment is outdoors, in direct contact with the natural environment, requiring adaptability to weather conditions and adherence to the farm's safety and sustainability protocols.
The operator's contribution is key to maintaining established quality standards and cultivation principles—whether conventional, organic, or regenerative. Precision in task execution and the ability to work methodically and systematically are valued, optimizing available resources and fieldwork time.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, split shifts from 8:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00, plus Saturday mornings. Overtime may be required depending on campaign needs. The offered salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
A minimum of one year’s experience operating tractors is required, preferably on fruit or olive farms. Practical knowledge of manual cultivation tasks and basic agricultural machinery handling is necessary. Training or familiarity with organic and regenerative agriculture principles is considered an advantage.
