




Hospital Quirónsalud Córdoba is seeking a **NURSE FOR THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT**, whose mission will be to provide comprehensive patient care in the emergency area, promoting health education in coordination with other team members, applying knowledge specific to their role and following guidelines established by the center based on the area's clinical protocols, contributing to delivering an excellent quality service. Specific responsibilities of the position: 1. Assessment of the census of hospitalized patients using analgesia pumps; verification of treatment and its effectiveness, ensuring these pumps are correctly programmed in the computer system. 2. Perform a comprehensive assessment of critically ill patients, including pediatric patients, following the established procedure. 3. Be responsible for the correct classification and management of patients according to urgency level. 4. Ensure proper application of emergency care techniques (adult and pediatric). 5. Guarantee correct administration of emergency medication to adult or pediatric patients (high-risk medications, intravenous, etc.): dosages, dilutions, routes of administration, etc. 6. Interpret and manage arrhythmias according to established procedures. 7. Properly manage the adult and pediatric emergency crash carts, ensuring full equipment availability. 8. Ensure the proper use of equipment specific to the department: defibrillator-cardioverter, digital vital signs monitor, pulse oximeter, secretion aspirator, electrocardiographs, etc. 9. Correctly apply myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke protocols as per procedure. 10. Ensure proper performance of emergency endotracheal intubation and cardiac monitoring. 11. Guarantee correct execution of wound care, telemetry, arterial blood gas sampling, paracentesis technique, non-invasive mechanical ventilation in emergencies... 12. Respect and maintain an appropriate relationship with patients and their families, collaborating in promoting and maintaining a professional and respectful environment. Providing, as well, information and education appropriately addressing their needs. 13. Actively identify the patient whenever the patient’s condition allows, confirming name, surnames, and date of birth, cross-checking with the identification wristband or passively. 14. Perform tasks assigned to the nurse, such as monthly checks of the emergency carts and recording them in the designated form. 15. Complete the patient's medical record by creating a Comprehensive Care Plan, as well as documenting and recording all actions performed with the patient. 16. Promote effective interdepartmental working relationships and work efficiently as a team member to facilitate achieving departmental goals and objectives. 17. Take responsibility for direct patient care according to the nursing care plan for assigned patients, ensuring their safety throughout the care process (medication, diet, physical activity...). 18. Administer oral, rectal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous treatments to hospitalized patients following established procedures. 19. Ensure proper preparation of patients for medical interventions, assisting in examinations and treatments. 20. Organize patient treatment and coordinate discharge when the patient is released, according to established procedures. 21. Make appropriate entries in the patient's medical record. 22. Know the reporting system for adverse reactions or incidents related to medication administration. 23. Prepare necessary materials for each procedure and assist the medical team during interventions according to established medical-surgical specialty protocols. 24. Remain alert during emergencies and critical situations, being able to respond appropriately under such circumstances. 25. Demonstrate consistency and interest in patient follow-up and monitoring, informing them about how care will proceed and any other required matters, respecting standards of excellent quality care. 26. Contribute to fulfilling obligations established by the competent authority to protect workers' safety and health. 27. Proper recording of narcotics. 28. Transmit patient information during shift handover at bedside using the SABER method. 29. Check patient status and complete the transfer form for all admissions coming from the emergency department. 30. Record relevant forms for each patient using the Casiopea computerized system. 31. Complete the emergency room checklist for both adult and pediatric patients per shift. 32. Attend mandatory training courses established by the department. 33. Comply with management system procedures, collect results from your processes, propose improvements for process development, and comply with organizational guidelines regarding service quality and environmental management. 34. Perform proper hand hygiene. 35. Stay updated on innovations in nursing and pursue professional growth and development. 36. Act as a role model, helping organize and supervise nursing assistants when appropriate. Master's or Postgraduate degree in Comprehensive Critical Patient Care and Emergencies or equivalent.
