Description
ArcelorMittal is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Technician for its Salvatierra\-Agurain facilities (AMDS Processing). We are looking for a **junior profile** to support coordination across various departments (Commercial, Production, and Supply Chain) and carry out scheduling tasks. Candidates must hold a university degree or an Advanced Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) in fields related to industry.
**Main responsibilities**
**In Planning:**
* Schedule orders
* Create batches and manufacturing orders
* Liaise with Commercial, Quality, and Supply Chain departments
* Meet delivery deadlines
* Prevent slow-moving items by always scheduling the oldest ones first
* Generate lists of pending orders
* Check raw material availability to assign to the order being scheduled
* Link order\-coil
* Assign machines to achieve required cuts, widths, and lengths
* In cases where coil width does not meet customer requirements, strap\+sheet option may also be applied
**In Scheduling:**
* Coordinate and supervise all activities carried out within the planning area
* Monitor compliance with the Integrated Production Plan (IPPC), based on received orders and available resources
* Receive platform orders on time and in full quantity
* Set commitment dates based on raw material availability, production capacity, and the defined IPPC
* Schedule optimal routes for all received and accepted orders in planning, thereby optimizing available resources (optimal routes, suitable raw materials, setups, etc.)
* Monitor order loading status as well as intermediate stock levels
* Develop and monitor defined work plans
* Track order fulfillment at the plant
* Report possible incidents affecting order fulfillment via agreed timelines
* Interact with customer service in case of urgent requests, delays, or order modifications…
* Define weekly shift schedules
**Minimum requirements:**
* University degree related to Production activities (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or similar), or Advanced Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) in industrial fields (Mechanics, Electricity, Logistics)
* Experience in Planning, Supply Chain, and/or Production will be valued
* *Soft Skills:* Ability to work in teams, analyze problems and propose solutions
* Knowledge of Product Costing and Production Planning will be valued
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Training in Occupational Risk Prevention will be valued
* English language proficiency will be valued
