We are looking for a **Senior Systems Technician specializing in database security and backup platforms**, someone who doesn’t just “administer systems”, but makes them resilient, secure, and practically indestructible. Your mission! * Harden databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. * Review access rights and permissions, and apply the principle of least privilege (nobody here has unlimited powers). * Protect data using encryption and sound security practices. * Design backup and disaster recovery strategies. * Fight ransomware (spoiler: you win). * Ensure backups are immutable and guaranteed recoverable. * Work with tools such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup. * Collaborate with cybersecurity teams (you’re not alone in this battle).
