Opportunities for professional growth within Amazon RME **DESCRIPTION** --------------- Without Amazon’s Maintenance and Reliability Engineering (RME) team, our operations would grind to a halt. As the Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Planning Lead in this critical part of our European network, you will be the go-to expert in all discussions concerning the technology deployed across our warehouses and logistics infrastructure. You must identify issues before they arise and track required materials to ensure tasks are completed seamlessly and operations continue uninterrupted. As an expert in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), you will work effectively and flexibly in a highly dynamic warehouse environment. Key job responsibilities * Define allocation of maintenance and repair resources using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). * Understand and apply EU regulations across all systems within your scope of responsibility. * Continuously review and analyze location-based equipment to ensure inventory levels remain sufficient. * Monitor the maintenance system to confirm equipment levels are accurately recorded and forecasts are precise. A day in the life Your primary objective as the Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Planning Lead is to ensure seamless operations. You will work at one of our logistics centers, managing assets and planning preventive maintenance. You will fully focus on logistical performance, setting high expectations and striving to optimize the equipment at our disposal. You will make decisions regarding where to allocate maintenance resources—whether for individual machinery components or entire systems—working side-by-side with the local engineering team. You will also collaborate with other members across our European network to continuously explore innovative ways to further increase efficiency. About the team Our Maintenance and Reliability Engineering (RME) team ensures that our systems operate at peak performance. We are distinguished by strong technical expertise and exceptional teamwork capabilities, led by experienced managers. Our work includes maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment across Amazon’s global network of distribution centers. The team comprises leadership roles responsible for overseeing the development of cutting-edge technologies—some of which exist exclusively at Amazon. Our team handles most technical aspects of Amazon’s operations, performing tasks ranging from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general facility maintenance or repairing key distribution equipment. This includes adapting buildings to comply with current legislation, ensuring the safety of all personnel and maximizing operational efficiency of our facilities. Like other Amazon departments, the RME team offers numerous opportunities for professional advancement. All our work revolves around minimizing downtime at Amazon’s critical operations centers, so customers receive their orders on time. We frequently work overnight or late into the night to conduct maintenance with minimal disruption, requiring night shifts. If we identify a better way to do something, we have both the capability and opportunity to develop and implement entirely new processes or state-of-the-art technology—such as Amazon Robotics and our complex item sorter.**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** ------------------------ * Relevant experience in planning, scheduling, and auditing maintenance activities. * Relevant experience working with a CMMS. * Relevant experience in spare parts inventory management. * Prior experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Advanced level of English, both spoken and written. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- * University degree, preferably in a technical, operations, or business administration discipline. * Experience with Infor’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform. * Prior experience in processes required to implement a new CMMS. * Experience delivering training or coaching team members.
