Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is seeking to hire a Power Electronics HW Engineer for its Technology Area of Converters & Controls in Zamudio. Main responsibilities will include: * Specify requirements, verify and validate power stacks and their constituent parts * Design power stacks, including high-power topologies and components * Collaborate on thermal, EMC, and mechanical design to integrate environmental requirements * Liaise with suppliers to incorporate magnetic materials * Collaborate with systems and embedded software teams * Commission and characterize prototypes * Verify and validate designs. Characterize performance and operating margins * Industrialize new technologies and solutions * Work with manufacturing and supply chain teams to achieve mature production products * Draft and document new design criteria, and procedures for reliable, high-performance power stack design Requirements: * Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with strong knowledge of Power Electronics (postgraduate or PhD preferred) * Minimum B2 level in English * Experience in designing high-performance DC/DC and DC/AC power converters: Design, tuning, and testing of isolated and non-isolated high-frequency converters Complete lifecycle of power equipment, from schematics to component design, documentation, supplier communication, and prototyping Modeling and analysis of dynamic systems, research and development of technology from concept to implementation Real-time simulations using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Spice Gate driver controller specification for converters * Knowledge of: high-frequency energy conversion or design and analysis of power distribution systems, including analysis of power electronics topologies, power components, magnetic elements, and capacitor technologies * Understanding of safety, EMC, thermal, and mechanical requirements * Teamwork, proactivity, innovation, and focus on quality and results Valued skills: * Previous experience in a similar role * Communication, planning, and problem-solving skills * Additional languages We offer: * Joining an innovative, leading organization in Power Electronics, contributing to the energy model transition and impacting triple sustainability (social, environmental, and economic) * Flexible working hours and other work-life balance facilities * Compensation aligned with candidate's experience * Permanent employment contract * Integration into a young, dynamic, and technologically advanced team At Ingeteam, we value diversity and support the inclusion of people with disabilities.
