At **Sener**, we are looking to incorporate a RAMS Engineer into our team at our Getxo\-Las Arenas location. Infrastructure projects have become more complex and larger in scale due to advances in technology and operations. One of the most important aspects to consider in the design of large infrastructures is their safety and availability. Safety engineering, as described in standard EN 50126, focuses on system design and accident prevention. The purpose of safety engineering is to consider, identify, evaluate, mitigate risk, and when possible, eliminate hazards for employees, passengers, and the public within the transportation system environment. This is ensured through the proper implementation of safety principles. On the other hand, RAM engineering (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) guarantees the system's service quality by applying established engineering concepts, methods, tools, and techniques throughout the system's lifecycle, and can be characterized as a qualitative and quantitative indicator of the extent to which the system can be relied upon to remain maintainable and operate as specified. **Sener** has extensive experience leading the application of RAMS engineering in Infrastructure and Transport projects, as well as in other sectors (power generation plants, ports, and even sports stadiums). Given the increase in projects this year 2021, we want to count on RAMS engineers who share our vocation for technical work linked to Safety and Availability engineering in large-scale projects. **Your responsibilities will include:** * + Developing management plans for the RAMS assessment process. + Coordinating and planning with the various areas involved in the project. + Monitoring the product lifecycle and the RAMS cycle. + Acting as liaison with assessment bodies (ISA / AsBo). + Conducting RAM studies and analyses, including defining acceptance criteria and specific plans. + Breaking down and allocating RAM requirements, as well as preparing justification analyses to demonstrate system compliance. + Defining FRACAS tools and planning maintenance spare parts inventory. + Writing technical documentation justifying RAM performance and continuously analyzing system behavior. + Developing LCC studies and supporting ILS services. * **In the field of Functional Safety:** * + Analyzing applicable regulatory frameworks (IEC 61508, CENELEC EN 5012X, ISO 26262, DO\-178/254, IEC 62061, ISO 13849, IEC 61511, IEC 14971…). + Planning safety activities and risk analyses (HAZID, HAZOP, RCA…). + Defining risk acceptance criteria and safety requirements (SIL, ASIL, DAL, PL…). + Preparing justification analyses, functional diagrams, ETA, FMECA, FMEDA, FTA… + Managing safety requirements and defining evidence. + Writing the safety case/dossier. + Assisting in the implementation of Safety Management Systems (SGS). + Supporting certification, homologation, and procurement processes. **What we expect from you:** * Degree in Software / Systems / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering, with a holistic and systemic vision of projects. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in RAMS management processes in large-scale railway / metro projects (with background in Civil, MEP and System); having a holistic approach to the design and evaluation of railway projects. * You must have knowledge of processes and requirements in EN 50126, as well as the CSM (Common Safety Method). * Advanced level of English. Additionally, it is desirable to have experience with relevant analytical techniques, including but not limited to quantitative risk assessments (QRA), fault tree analysis (FTA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA / FMECA), statistical testing, and estimations. Moreover, prior experience producing RAMS deliverables in accordance with international standards (EN 50126, 28, 29, IEC 61508\), best practices, and aligned with client requirements, plans, and procedures. **What we offer you:** These are some of the benefits you will enjoy at Sener: * You will have the opportunity to participate in innovative, high-tech international projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team. * You will enjoy better time management through our flexible working hours and remote work policies. * You can optimize your salary with our flexible compensation plan (meal card, private health insurance, childcare vouchers...) and will have life and accident insurance. * We will take care of you through our physical and emotional wellbeing program, including sports, workshops, etc. * We will support your professional development with technical training, skills development, language courses, etc., so you can keep growing and achieving your goals. * We promote equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion for all individuals and are certified as a Family Responsible Organization (efr). If you identify with our values and want to become part of a leading international family-owned engineering firm, we are waiting for you! We want to go as far as you want to go.
