Job Summary: We are seeking forestry workers for various tasks in the forest, including land preparation, sowing, planting, pruning, clearing, cleaning, and maintenance of forestry infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: 1. Performing preventive forestry tasks and pest detection 2. Basic handling of manual forestry tools 3. Assisting in felling and wood classification Five positions are available for forestry workers in the eastern area of Asturias, based in Cangas de Onís. Main tasks include land preparation, hole excavation, seed sowing and tree planting, as well as pruning and clearing to promote forest growth. Forest cleaning, removal of plant residues and biomass, and assistance in felling, classification, and stacking of timber and logs are also carried out. Other duties include preventive forestry treatments, such as safety pruning and creation of auxiliary strips, as well as early detection of diseases and pests. Work also involves conditioning, cleaning, and maintenance of forest tracks, trails, and firebreaks. Basic handling of manual tools—including axes, saws, and brush cutters—is required, along with support for chainsaw operators or machine operators. Prior experience in this role is valued. The contract is permanent, with full-time working hours from 08:00 to 16:00. The offered salary is €2,400 gross per month.
