





ArcelorMittal Etxebarri is seeking a Production Support Engineer. Their responsibilities include organizing technical and human resources, scheduling necessary activities, supervising the execution of operational tasks, and monitoring results within their work area to achieve established operational objectives while strictly complying with safety and environmental standards. The support engineer will be responsible for tracking the facility's key KPIs, promoting, proposing, and driving continuous improvement teams. After a learning period, the candidate will assume the role of Production Manager. **Main Responsibilities** * Ensure the safety of both internal and external personnel performing work at the facility and safeguard the installations by enforcing all established rules and any additional measures deemed necessary to allow work to proceed safely. * Ensure operations are conducted in compliance with required safety and environmental regulations. * Ensure operations are carried out considering the highest possible efficiency of energy resources used: gas, electricity, steam, water. * Organize human and material resources within the team, assigning tasks to each member based on their competencies and the needs to meet production goals. * Guarantee achievement of objectives through established Work Standards and Procedures, making necessary decisions to resolve problems and/or needs arising in their management area. * Coordinate all operational activities at the plant, monitoring and optimizing the proper functioning of facilities, working closely with Maintenance in both reactive and proactive ways. * Coordinate with cross-functional areas (Labor Relations, Energy, EPO & Lead Users). * Ensure professional competence within their teams by identifying gaps in knowledge and skill profiles required, and accordingly plan training for their team members. * Conduct safety briefings and discussions with team members regarding safety practices, operating rules, operation methods, etc. * Promote Continuous Improvement by participating in in-depth analysis of incidents and deviations, and proposing improvements to processes and maintenance at the facility. * Analyze process and quality performance results of the facility. * Participate in process and production improvement projects. * Monitor plant operations and processes, interacting with the production team to achieve production, process, and quality targets. * Track facility KPIs – scorecard – analyzing trends versus historical data and budgets. * Encourage, propose, and lead various continuous improvement teams within the facility, focusing particularly on production, process, and quality enhancements. **Minimum Requirements** * Higher Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. * Ability to communicate fluently in English. Level B2 on the European scale. * Training in Occupational Health and Safety. Possession of the master's qualification will be valued. * 5 years of experience managing work teams in industrial environments.
