Job Summary: Eroski is seeking a Database Architect to lead the evolution of its data architecture, ensuring data quality, consistency, and performance. Key Highlights: 1. At Eroski, we are immersed in an ambitious process of evolving our data architecture and are looking to bring on board a Database Architect to help ensure data quality, consistency, and performance—laying the foundation for the Group's Lakehouse model. What will be your mission? * Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical and operational use cases. * Define and evolve modeling standards (relational, dimensional, Data Vault, NoSQL), naming conventions, and best practices. * Optimize the structure, performance, and efficiency of SQL and NoSQL databases. * Establish indexing, partitioning, versioning, and storage strategies. * Ensure data governance, quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. * Evaluate technologies, approaches, and patterns to evolve legacy models toward modern Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg), as well as other responsibilities inherent to the role. Take a look here https://youtu.be/A6QWS6dhx6o We seek candidates with a degree in Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Business Administration and Management (ADE), or Data Governance, solid experience in complex data environments, and proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB, along with deep expertise in SQL, dimensional modeling, normalization, indexing, and performance optimization. We would also value experience with Cassandra, Redis, or graph databases, as well as knowledge of modern data architectures—especially Lakehouse models (Iceberg; Delta and Hudi are considered advantageous), data pipelines, and analytical ecosystems—and, additionally, semantic layers and data governance.
