Join us in pursuing solutions for a sustainable future.** ACCIONA, within its Construction business line, requires the incorporation of a Contract Manager at its workplace in Cantabria.**Job Description** **Main Responsibilities** * Manage and control the full project lifecycle, including supply, subcontracting, joint venture (UTE), and client contracts. * Review, negotiate, and draft contracts, annexes, amendments, and modifications in coordination with Legal, Finance, and Technical departments. * Identify, analyze, and manage contractual risks, proposing preventive and corrective measures. * Ensure adherence to deadlines, milestones, and obligations stipulated in each contract, providing advance alerts regarding potential deviations. * Manage disputes with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, including quantification and documentation of damages and losses. * Prepare and process change orders, scope variations, and requests for time extensions, ensuring proper justification and recordkeeping. * Maintain up-to-date contractual archives and associated document management systems. * Coordinate and support project teams in interpreting and applying contractual clauses. * Collaborate with the Legal Department in managing disputes, arbitrations, and conflict resolution procedures. * Prepare periodic reports on the contractual status of the assigned project for presentation to management. **Candidate Requirements** **Academic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline. * Postgraduate studies in Construction Law, Contract Management, or Commercial Law will be considered favorably. **Professional Experience** * Minimum of **5 years** of experience in contract management, preferably in construction, infrastructure, concessions, or engineering sectors. * Proven experience managing large-scale contracts in civil works or building construction environments. * Experience in managing contractual claims and dispute resolution processes (negotiation, mediation, arbitration). **Technical Knowledge** * In-depth knowledge of Spanish contractual regulations, including the Civil Code, the Public Sector Contracts Law (LCSP), and applicable sector-specific regulations. * Familiarity with international contractual standards, especially **FIDIC**, NEC, or similar frameworks. * Advanced proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite. * Project management knowledge. **Competencies and Skills** * Ability to conduct legal and economic analysis of complex contractual documentation. * Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. * Attention to detail, rigor, and capacity to simultaneously manage multiple contracts. * Effective communication skills—both oral and written—with interlocutors across various hierarchical and technical levels. * Autonomy, proactivity, and ability to work under high-pressure conditions and tight deadlines. **Languages** * Spanish: native or bilingual level. * English: advanced level (C1 or higher). **We are a company that values diversity as a source of talent and therefore strive to foster an inclusive environment promoting respect, belonging, and commitment—ensuring equal opportunity for all.
