Position Summary: Stantec is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer with experience in the analysis and design of structures for hydraulic works in the Mining and Hydroenergy sectors. Project coordination and drawing review **Requisition Number:** 24274BR **Description:** Stantec is seeking to hire a Mid-Level Structural Engineer with at least 7 years of experience for its offices in Peru. Key responsibilities include: * Advanced analysis of structures for hydraulic works in the Mining/Hydroenergy sector, including nonlinear time-history dynamic analyses with advanced soil\-structure interaction. * Structural analysis and design of concrete and structural steel structures. * Structural design using both ultimate strength and allowable stress methods. * Preparation of calculation reports, drawings, and specifications for hydraulic structure projects, dams, and civil works for mining. * Coordination with project teams on project development planning, required information, deliverables, resources, etc. * Review, control, and approval of structural drawings/diagrams. * Design in accordance with national and international standards such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, AASHTO, ICOLD, USBR, and USACE. * Preparation of technical reports. * Preparation of technical documentation (reports, specifications, quantity take-offs, etc.) **Qualifications:** Requirements for this position are: * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering * Valid professional license * Advanced English proficiency * Master’s degree in Computational Engineering or advanced numerical modeling using the Finite Element Method (FEM) * ADVANCED proficiency in English * Intermediate proficiency in the following software: * ABAQUS * AutoCAD * MS Project * SAP2000 * MathCad **About Stantec:** Stantec’s community comprises approximately 34,000 employees working across more than 450 locations on six continents.
