A geriatric care assistant is needed at a nursing home in Siero, Asturias. Duties include assisting with personal hygiene—such as bathing, skin care, and dressing—as well as supporting meals and ensuring consistent hydration. Repositioning of bedridden residents is performed, and assistance is provided during transfers or walks to maintain physical activity. Oral medication administration is monitored, and any changes are reported to the nursing team. **Emotional support is essential:** providing companionship, actively listening to residents, and encouraging their autonomy through daily activities. Shifts are scheduled for mornings and afternoons; the position is temporary with potential for permanent integration into staff. Prior experience in nursing homes and formal training in sociosanitary care are valued. Compensation follows the applicable collective agreement. Patience, empathy, and organizational skills are required, along with personal transportation to reach the facility in Siero. Minimum one year of experience in geriatric residences. Valuable qualifications include clinical assistant certification, TKE (Technical Nursing Assistant), gerocultor certification, or a sociosanitary assistance certificate.
