Experience in large-scale mining operations and remote areas. **Requisition Number:** 24327BR **Description:** Stantec requires hiring an HSSE Supervisor for its offices in Peru, a professional with at least 10 years of general work experience. Some of their specific responsibilities will include: * Verify compliance with current occupational safety and health legislation: Law No. 29783, its Regulation (DS\-005\-2012\-TR), DS\-024\-2016\-EM, DS\-023\-2017\-EM, their amendments, and other applicable sector-specific regulations. * Ensure compliance with Stantec’s internal regulations and the client’s requirements for the assigned project. * Advise assigned management on compliance with laws, internal policies, and external commitments related to safety, health, environment, and protection. * Develop, implement, and monitor the Safety, Health, Environment, and Protection Management Program. * Review and update safe work procedures and instructions, ensuring their dissemination and compliance. * Propose and manage necessary resources for the effective implementation of the HSSE system on the assigned project. * Actively participate in internal and external audits to verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. * Coordinate corrective and preventive actions arising from audits or inspections. * Advise on the reporting and investigation process for incidents, accidents, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions. * Coordinate and advise on the planning, execution, and evaluation of emergency response drills. Organize and deliver general inductions, specific inductions, regulatory training, drills, and awareness campaigns. * Promote a culture of safe and healthy work “TogetherSafer”, encouraging safe behaviors at all organizational levels. * Prepare weekly and/or monthly statistical reports on safety, health, and environmental indicators. * Analyze trends and propose actions to reduce incidents and improve HSSE performance. **Qualifications:** The requirements for this position are: * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Hygiene and Safety, Industrial Safety, or related fields. * Must have experience in large-scale mining operations (open-pit) and environmental services in remote areas. * Registered and licensed professional. * Intermediate-level proficiency in Google Earth. **About Stantec:** We are active members of the communities we serve.
