Work location El Prat de Llobregat. Mission A leading engineering company specialized in the water cycle sector requires an Engineering professional to join the Digital Integration & Automation team. Reports to TT Coordinator. Functions and responsibilities Design and evaluate SCADA/PLC solutions. Design and evaluate automation solutions using conventional technologies and those specific to Industry 4.0 corresponding to levels 1 and 2 of the automation pyramid. Develop technical automation documentation, including functional specifications, system specifications, operation manuals, and maintenance manuals. Manage internal documentation related to development processes and evaluate automation solutions. Develop software at levels 1, 2, and 3 of the automation pyramid using various manufacturers' development environments in the industrial automation field (IEC 61131-3) and general-purpose high-level programming languages. Apply internal design guidelines within the industrial automation domain. Identify quality issues, troubleshoot problems, and perform FAT/SAT tests. Competencies Analytical skills. Goal orientation. Experience Development of industrial automation solutions, including hardware definition, communication systems, and software development for layers 1 and 2 of the industrial automation pyramid, system sizing, and commissioning. Preparation of technical documentation covering the complete software lifecycle. Proficiency with SCADA solutions, specifically AVEVA System Platform (OMI); knowledge of AVEVA InTouch would also be acceptable. Knowledge of industrial communications. Database knowledge. Networking knowledge. Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques for industrial facilities. Availability of approximately 15% of time for on-site commissioning activities or site visits to understand or define project scope. Education Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in automation or industrial electronics, Bachelor’s in Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent. Languages Native Spanish, advanced Catalan, upper-intermediate English (B2).
