Overview: **Senior Data Platform Engineer \& Cloud Architect (AWS)** ========================================================== At Expleo, we are seeking a **Senior Data Platform Engineer \& Cloud Architect** to lead the design, evolution, and operation of an enterprise data platform on AWS. You will join an international environment, collaborating with global teams to drive large-scale technological modernization, automation, and data architecture initiatives. **What You’ll Do** ------------- * Design and evolve data architectures on AWS. * Lead end-to-end technical initiatives, from design through to production deployment. * Define standards, best practices, and architectural patterns. * Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform. * Design and optimize data workflows with Apache Airflow (MWAA). * Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. * Manage and optimize services such as ECS/Fargate and Redshift. * Develop automations using Python and Ansible. * Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency. * Participate in data governance, quality, and metadata management initiatives. * Mentor technical team members and foster continuous improvement. **What Will Make You Succeed** --------------------------- * 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps. * 5+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS. * Proven experience designing and operating enterprise cloud-based data platforms. * Experience leading technical projects or initiatives. * Advanced expertise in: + AWS Architecture + Apache Airflow / Amazon MWAA + Terraform + Python + Amazon ECS \& AWS Fargate + Amazon Redshift + GitHub Actions (CI/CD) + Ansible + Advanced SQL + Data Lake and Data Warehouse + Data Governance and Metadata Management * Experience working in Agile environments (Jira and Confluence). **Nice-to-Have** ------------- * dbt Core, dbt Cloud, and Semantic Layer. * Data Mesh. * Apache Iceberg. * Apache Spark 3\. * FinOps and cloud cost optimization. * AWS CloudFormation. **What We Offer** ----------------- 100% remote work (subject to client/project needs), with availability for occasional travel to **Barcelona**.
