As a **Kitchen Assistant** at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, within the culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting basic kitchen tasks, maintaining cleanliness in your work area, and complying with food hygiene and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure all \*mise en place\* preparations meet the highest quality standards and adhere to guidelines set by supervisors. * Prepare and replenish \*buffets\*. * Support supervisors in collecting and organizing materials in the designated storage area. * Notify supervisors when stock levels are low and ensure sufficient supplies are always available for daily operations. * Store ingredients in appropriate containers, ensuring correct preservation and labeling per company standards. * Clean and disinfect surfaces, utensils, and work areas before and after use, in accordance with food safety regulations. * Report any cleaning or maintenance issues in the kitchen and assist with daily inspections conducted by supervisors. * Support other outlets and banquets as required by supervisors. * Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions. * Perform any other duties assigned by your superiors. * Always comply with food safety and health standards established by Mandarin Oriental Hotel. **What We Expect From You:** * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a kitchen assistant. * Culinary arts training preferred. * Basic experience in food preparation and cooking. * Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules based on business needs. **Our Commitment to You:** * Training and Development: Your success is our success.
