Working in distributed agile teams with modern technologies #### **Job Description** At **The Whiteam Consulting**, we are looking for a **Senior / Lead FullStack Developer** for a **Time & Materials (T&M) technical engagement**, focused on the development, maintenance, and evolution of **large-scale digital platforms**, used internationally and involving multiple teams. This role combines **technical leadership** with direct development contributions, including participation in architectural decisions, solution design, dependency coordination, and quality assurance. We seek a candidate with strong expertise in modern Java & Angular environments, microservices, cloud, automation, and CI/CD — capable of leading technical initiatives within distributed teams. #### **Responsibilities** * Design, implement, and maintain backend applications in **Java 17** and **Spring Boot** (Security, Data, Cloud). * Develop and optimize **REST APIs**, integrations, and event-driven services using **Apache Kafka**. * Contribute to frontend development when required, using **Angular (14–21+)** and **TypeScript**. * Collaborate closely with Business Analysts: + Refine user stories + Understand requirements + Estimate tasks + Deliver complete solutions * Review code, validate technical deliverables, and guide the team on best practices. * Document software and ensure quality through unit, integration, and E2E testing. * Contribute to automation of deployment cycles and **CI/CD** pipelines. * Monitor, improve, and maintain stability and performance of microservices in production. * Fully participate in distributed agile teams (Scrum/SAFe), driving technical excellence. * Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and represent the team technically toward business/architecture stakeholders. #### **Requirements** * **English C1 (fluent)**. * Java **17+** and Spring Boot (Security, Data, Cloud). * **Microservices** architecture. * Development of **REST APIs**, OpenAPI. * Kafka (event-driven services). * SQL and **MongoDB**. * Kubernetes. * Jenkins (CI/CD), SonarQube. * Selenium or TAF (as per project). * AWS. * Development environments: **IntelliJ**, GitHub, Jira, Confluence. * Prior experience in Senior Developer or Technical Lead roles. #### **Desirable** * Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack. * Helm. * Orchestration or workflow engines such as **Camunda**. * GitHub Actions or other deployment pipelines. * Experience in the **insurance** sector. * Experience in process automation, pair programming, clean code, and advanced engineering practices. * Experience working on global projects with multiple distributed teams. * **4–6 years of experience with the mentioned technologies** #### **Conditions** * Location: **Barcelona**. * Work model: Hybrid (**40% onsite / 60% remote**). * Occasional travel to **Munich** every 3 months, as required by the team. * International project involving high-scale platforms and advanced technology environments. **Company** Joining THEWHITEAM means collaborating with a company composed of professionals with extensive experience in technology consulting.
