




Job Summary: We are seeking a recently graduated junior engineer to coordinate, supervise, and optimize the operations of the Traffic and Mobility Control Room in Tenerife. Key Highlights: 1. We are seeking a **recently graduated junior engineer**, motivated to learn and develop within the field of intelligent mobility. The selected candidate will receive training and mentoring to grow into a technical reference within the Traffic and Mobility Control Room of the Cabildo de Tenerife. Their mission will be to **coordinate, supervise, and optimize the control room’s operations**, ensuring efficient, safe, and sustainable management of traffic and public transport. They will also support real-time decision-making and strategic planning for island-wide mobility. **Responsibilities to be gradually assumed** * Lead and coordinate the operational functioning of the Traffic and Mobility Control Room (SCTM). * Supervise the proper operation of ITS and urban traffic control systems (UTC, cameras, sensors, variable message signs, traffic counting systems, video analytics, etc.). * Manage real-time traffic information, prioritizing incidents, alerts, and emergency responses. * Coordinate with external agencies (municipalities, DGT, Civil Guard, emergency services, Titsa, Metrotenerife, etc.) for integrated mobility management. * Analyze historical traffic and mobility data to propose improvements in road network planning and public transport operations. * Prepare technical reports, operational protocols, and action plans for events or contingencies. * Supervise operational staff in the control room and ensure their continuous training. * Manage technological modernization projects (ITS, big data, AI applied to traffic, digital twins, etc.). * Ensure compliance with current regulations regarding mobility, road safety, and data protection. **Requirements** -------------- * University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Industrial Engineering * Intermediate level of English * Leadership ability and capacity to make decisions under pressure * Customer orientation and commitment to continuous improvement * Strong communication skills * Analytical capability to interpret technical data and derive operational conclusions **Desirable:** -------------- * Master’s degree or specialized course in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Urban Traffic Management, or Smart Cities * Knowledge of communications and networks (TCP/IP, IP cameras, SCADA, etc.) * Analytical capability using big data tools or mobility dashboards (Qlik, Power BI, etc.) **Our Offer:** * Permanent contract * Flexible compensation plan * Work modality: 100% on-site * Working hours: 7–15 * 26 working days of vacation
