Description
The Industrial Maintenance Technician position involves responsibility for preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical equipment installed in the facilities. Key tasks include performing accurate diagnostics to resolve faults of electrical, mechanical, and automation nature, thereby ensuring operational continuity of production processes. Additionally, the role actively participates in continuous improvement projects, analyzing existing processes and proposing enhancements that increase the efficiency and reliability of production equipment.
Another key function is collaboration during the installation, commissioning, and validation phases of new equipment and facilities, ensuring proper integration into the operational environment and compliance with required technical specifications. The professional is also responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all current regulations regarding industrial safety, quality, and environmental protection, applying sector-specific protocols.
Finally, meticulous record-keeping of all interventions performed and management of associated technical maintenance documentation is required—this is fundamental for historical tracking, traceability, and future planning of maintenance activities. This role is essential to maintain the productivity and quality levels demanded in a dynamic and regulated industrial environment.
Working hours are organized into rotating shifts covering morning (06:00–14:00), afternoon (14:00–22:00), and night (22:00–06:00), Monday through Friday, with the possibility of transitioning to a schedule that also includes weekends. The offer includes a temporary contract with an initial duration of six months, which may be extended depending on company needs and candidate performance. The physical location of the position is in the Les Corts district of Barcelona.
A Medium or Higher Vocational Training qualification in fields such as Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or Industrial Automation is required. A minimum of two to three years of experience in the industrial sector is mandatory, preferably within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments, performing preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery. Practical experience in industrial automation and handling equipment in environments regulated by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be considered favorably, as well as advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite for report and documentation management.
