The candidate must have at least 4 years of experience working on control and protection engineering projects for substations, and will join Boslan’s Generation and Networks Unit’s Substations T\&D team to perform activities such as: * Developing control and protection schematics for HV/MV electrical substations (single-line diagrams, detailed diagrams, panel front views, panel material lists, signal and cable lists, etc.). * Reviewing control and protection engineering designs and SSAA (Substation Automation and Automation Systems) for HV/MV electrical substations. * Drafting and reviewing technical specifications and tender documents for procurement of major HV/MV substation equipment. * Performing electrical calculations related to the control and protection systems of HV/MV electrical substations (voltage and current transformers, LV conductors, etc.). * Designing and calculating SSAA systems for HV/MV electrical substations. * Providing technical support to clients regarding the design of control and protection systems for HV/MV electrical substations. This position may be performed in a hybrid mode from any of the following locations: Bilbao, Madrid, Zaragoza, Alicante, Castellón. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Technical Engineering Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Minimum Experience: At least 4 years in a similar role. Minimum Knowledge: * Minimum of 4 years’ experience in control and protection projects for HV/MV substations. * Familiarity with Spanish electrical regulations. * Knowledge of IEC 61850 standard. * Advanced user-level proficiency in AutoCAD 2D. * English language proficiency at B2 level or higher. Desirable Knowledge: * Familiarity with IBERDROLA’s control and protection system design standards and criteria. * Proficiency in EPLAN. * Experience with specialized software for power network modeling and simulation (e.g., DigSilent, Cape, ETAP, etc.). * Knowledge of communication systems for HV/MV electrical substations. * Experience in designing and setting protections for substations. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: * Strong technical, critical, and analytical capabilities, oriented toward efficient problem-solving. * Ability to interpret and analyze results from studies and calculations, applying a critical and constructive approach. * High degree of autonomy in work, complemented by excellent teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and focus on each. * Proactive attitude, flexibility in dynamic environments, and continuous commitment to learning and improvement. * Organizational and prioritization skills, with initiative-taking ability and adherence to deadlines. * Client management experience and capability, maintaining strong, results-oriented relationships.
