Job Summary: Ingeteam is seeking a Hardware Control Engineer for the Aeronautical Sector to design and validate hardware components related to electric propulsion and energy conversion. Leading company in Power Electronics Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to hire a Hardware Control Engineer for the Aeronautical Sector at its Zamudio facilities. Your mission will be to design and validate hardware components related to electric propulsion and energy conversion. More specifically, you will design the digital control board required for regulation, control, communications, and safety of the electric machine (DC-AC inverter) and converters (DC-DC). You will join the company’s R\+D department within a multidisciplinary team focused on aeronautical systems. Your main responsibilities will include: * Analyzing the state of the art in control hardware for aeronautical electric propulsion systems and converters, then leading—based on requirements—the conceptual design, schematics, manufacturing, validation, and final testing. * Analyzing customer specifications, breaking down the specification, and defining hardware design requirements. Managing requirements, ensuring traceability against design and verification tests. * Managing design changes while collaborating with, defining, and agreeing upon them with other design departments, considering their impact. * Designing schematics and layout, considering manufacturing recommendations, requirements, EMC rules, and applicable regulatory levels (DAL A, B, C, D or ASIL D, C, B, A or SIL 2, 3, 4\), for control electronics. * Understanding fundamentals of design based on the aeronautical standard DO\-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware), or alternatively, experience developing under other standards (e.g., ISO26262\) following the V-model development lifecycle. * Monitoring regulatory compliance, either with external agents or internal ones. * Procuring basic components and tracking them through manufacturing and assembly stages until functional boards are obtained. * Drafting the validation and verification plan, as well as monitoring tests. Minimum Requirements: * Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 4 years’ experience designing electronic circuits in the aeronautical/automotive sector. * Knowledge of: Communication buses: CAN, Ethernet, CAN FD, SPI, I2C Microcontroller design from various manufacturers (Infineon, NXP, Microchip), as well as FPGAs. Hardware design tools (Altium, Orcad), and circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, Qspice, Micro\-cap, TINA). * English proficiency level minimum C1 * Writing technical reports and participating in technical meetings with customers. Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of simulation software (Ansys Electronic Desktop, ICE PAck, TRM) and EMC tools (HyperLynx). * Training in Functional Safety standards ISO 26262, DO\-254\. * Knowledge of requirements management and traceability tools (Siemens Polarion, DOORS), as well as experience writing requirements and creating internal specifications from customer requirements.
