Job Description We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with solid experience in industrial environments, responsible for ensuring equipment and facility reliability, safety, and availability. In this role, you will prioritize EHS aspects in all interventions, perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, and actively contribute to continuous process improvement. You will work closely with the operations team, utilizing CMMS tools and technical documentation (drawings, schematics, P&ID) to ensure effective incident response and compliance with quality standards and good manufacturing practices. The position is located in Salamanca.### **What You Will Do** Bring energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to perform the following responsibilities:* Prioritize EHS assessment prior to execution of any corrective or preventive activity. * Ensure timely and proper completion of preventive maintenance tasks. * Actively participate in daily departmental operational meetings. * Track and execute assigned corrective maintenance work orders. * Complete work orders fully and on time within the CMMS system. * Manage material and spare parts requests, assigning them to work orders and tracking their delivery. ### **Skills and Requirements** To succeed in this role, you should have:* Vocational training at intermediate or advanced level in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or equivalent. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance. * Knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, general mechanics (excluding vehicles), industrial air conditioning, and HVAC installations. * Ability to handle electrical manuals and schematics, as well as interpret drawings and P&ID. **Preferred:** * Problem-solving skills in industrial environments. * Knowledge of automation and PLCs. * Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). * Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably SAP-based or similar. * Knowledge of data acquisition systems (SCADA or others). * Certification as Level II Industrial Boiler Operator. **Required Skills:** Accountability, Accountability, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Computer Literacy, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Systems, Electromechanical Devices, Equipment Commissioning, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HVAC Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Instrumentation Systems, Instrument Calibrations, Maintenance Scheduling, Managing Engineering Teams, Materials Management, Mechanical Equipment Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, PLC Programming, Pneumatic Systems, Power Electronics, Preventive Maintenance, Problem Elimination, Problem Resolution, Problem Solving {+ 4 more}**Preferred Skills:** Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE **Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully** Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
