We are looking to incorporate into our team of professionals a candidate with a solid track record and passion for innovation in the field of electrical substations. ### **About the Position** Joining our Substations Department and reporting directly to the department head, the selected candidate will play a key role in the development and execution of electrical substation projects. Responsibilities will span from conceptual design through to implementation and commissioning of control, protection, and communication systems, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and safety of our facilities. ### **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, calculation, and preparation of technical documentation (detailed engineering designs) related to control, protection, and communication systems for electrical substations. * Conducting load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies using advanced software tools such as DIGSILENT, ETAP, PSCAD, PSS\-E, among others. * Detailed design of protection settings for electrical substations, optimizing selectivity, sensitivity, and response speed. * Selection and specification of control, protection, and communication equipment (relays, SCADA systems, RTUs, etc.). * Technical supervision during the construction and equipment installation phase at substations. * Participation in commissioning and testing of control and protection systems. * Collaboration with other departments and teams to ensure system integration and proper operation. * Identification and proposal of technical and process improvements. * Monitoring of applicable national and international technical standards for electrical substations. ### **Requirements:** * Technical or University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or related disciplines. * **Minimum 3 years’ demonstrable experience** in the design and calculation of control and protection systems for electrical substations. * Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical system simulation software, particularly **DIGSILENT**, **ETAP**, PSCAD, PSS\-E. * Solid experience in designing **protection settings** for electrical substations, including distance, overcurrent, differential relays, etc. * Ability to interpret and produce single-line diagrams, assembly drawings, control schematics, and operational logic diagrams. * Familiarity with major manufacturers and models of protection and control equipment. * Proficiency in applicable technical standards (IEC, IEEE, REBT, etc.). * Analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. * Communication and teamwork skills. * Technical English proficiency (reading and comprehension). ### **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in power systems, electrical networks, or protection engineering. * Experience with SCADA systems and industrial communications (DNP3, IEC 61850\). * Knowledge of CAD design software. * Experience in international projects. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally. ### **What We Offer:** * Opportunity to join a growing, sector-leading company. * Professional development and continuous training opportunities. * Challenging, large-scale projects. * A dynamic and collaborative work environment. * Competitive salary commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
