




**Cobol Team Leader, (****Remote within EU territory****) – International organisation** **Job role:** COBOLTeam Leader. **Language:** English (C1\). **Location:** Remote from EU with ocassional visits to Belgium. **Education:** Graduate. **Minimum experience:** 7 to 10 years. **Main knowledge**: COBOL (MANDATORY). **DESCRIPTION:** The Team Lead role involves managing and coordinating the day\-to\-day activities of a small development team composed of two backend developers and one frontend developer. The position requires full responsibility for ensuring qualitative delivery, enforcing development and coding standards, and guaranteeing that all outputs meet agreed quality expectations. The ideal candidate will leverage a strong technical background in backend development, with deep expertise in COBOL, acting as a technical reference for the team. Key duties include task planning, progress tracking, and delivery accountability, while maintaining close collaboration with stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. **Key responsabilities:** * Lead and coordinate a development team of three members (two backend developers and one frontend developer). * Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices across all deliverables. * Act as the technical expert for backend development, providing guidance and support in COBOL. * Oversee task planning, progress monitoring, and timely delivery of project milestones. * Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align on requirements and expectations. * Guarantee the quality and reliability of all outputs delivered by the team. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development process. * Mentor and guide team members to foster professional growth and performance. **Competences:** * Proven experience in leading and coordinating software development teams. * Strong technical expertise in backend development, with deep knowledge of COBOL. * Solid understanding of coding standards, quality assurance, and best practices. * Ability to plan tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Problem\-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. * Capacity to mentor and guide team members to foster growth and performance. **Language:** * English (C1\). **Location:** * Remote from EU with ocassional visits to Belgium **Rate:** * 350\-330€/day.
