Job Request ID: 25213 Country: Spain Position Location: Parque Tecnológico, Edificio 300 Zamudio, Vizcaya / Bizkaia 48170 **METALLOGRAPHIC LABORATORY TECHNICIAN** At ITP AERO, a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of aeronautical turbines, we are seeking to incorporate a **Metallographic Laboratory Technician** for our new technology development center. If you are passionate about materials science and want to be part of an innovative team, this is your opportunity. **Your main responsibilities:** * Preparation and macro and microstructural analysis of metallographic samples. * Execution of standardized tests according to international and internal standards: hardness, grain size, porosity, phase evaluation, inclusions and defects. * Detailed documentation of results and preparation of technical reports. * Effective communication with internal clients and other technical departments, actively participating in meetings and project follow-ups. * Writing and updating internal procedures and managing associated technical documentation. * Coordination of subcontracting with external laboratories. * Monitoring equipment maintenance and calibration, supporting the acquisition of new equipment and management of consumables. * Compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Contribution to continuous improvement of laboratory methods and processes. * **Profile we are looking for:** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields. * Experience in metallography laboratory, including sample preparation (cutting, mounting, polishing, chemical and electrochemical etching) and macro and microstructural analysis. * Proficiency in optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). * Extensive knowledge of international standards applicable to various testing techniques. * Ability to analyze and interpret results. * Advanced English, certified C1 level.
