Collaborate with process, design, and testing teams Product Development Engineer **Summary role description** As a Product Development Engineer with us in Zumaia you will be responsible for conducting all CVJ product development related activities which includes engineering development, creation of standards for global use, documentation and reporting of development results, benchmarking of competitor products, execute work packages and provide support on for product specification, concern history, product cost analysis and work as needed with procurement and process specialists. **Job description /** **Main Responsibilities** * Execute all activities related to the development of CVJ. * Contribute with innovative ideas to improve existing products and to develop new product concepts. * Define and establish design guidelines to extend an existing product range * Perform theoretical design studies and simulations to analyze, validate, and predict product performance. * Collaborate closely with the process team to define tolerances, manufacturing flow and to optimize cost. * Work together with the design team to define and develop product design rules/sketches, drawings and 3D models. * Coordinate with the testing team to plan and execute validation tests and to identify/understand failure modes together. * Manage project timelines to ensure achievement of agreed validation milestones. * Provide technical support to VAVE and benchmarking activities Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and production plants regarding product\-related inquiries. * **Requirements** * Proven experience in product development or in engineering solutions development * Proactive engineer and keen problem\-solver, always working towards an innovative solution. * Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives * Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments * Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals * Master’s Degree or equivalent level * \+2 years proven experience in development field * Fluency in Spanish required; Basque valued.
