You will lead, coordinate, and develop LCI Barcelona’s research activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards set by accreditation agencies (e.g., AQU Catalunya, ANECA), fostering faculty scientific output, and managing the acquisition and execution of research projects, competitive calls, and collaboration agreements with public and private entities. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Design and implement the institution’s strategic research plan, aligned with academic and accreditation objectives. * Identify and manage relevant funding calls (national, European, and international) corresponding to the school’s research lines. * Coordinate the preparation, submission, and technical\-economic justification of research projects. * Monitor faculty scientific output indicators (publications, conferences, patents, theses) and maintain the institutional research database up to date. * Support faculty in preparing applications for six-year research merits (sexenios), accreditations (AQU, ANECA), and evaluations of research activity. * Manage research ethics committees and ensure regulatory compliance (intellectual property, data protection, scientific integrity). * Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, research centers, companies, and public bodies for collaborative projects. * Prepare periodic progress reports and an annual research report for institutional leadership and accreditation bodies. * Organize and promote scientific outreach activities (workshops, seminars, internal conferences). * Supervise budgetary management of research projects in coordination with the finance department. * Represent the institution in research networks and consortia within the educational and creative sectors. **REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:** **Education:** * University degree at graduate level (Master’s or PhD preferred/valued) in fields related to academic management, research, business administration, or disciplines aligned with LCI’s teaching areas (design, fashion, art, management, technology). **Experience:** * Minimum 3\-5 years’ experience in research management within university or higher education settings. * Demonstrable experience managing competitive funding calls (e.g., H2020/Horizon Europe, Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, AGAUR, etc.). * Familiarity with the Spanish and Catalan university systems and accreditation processes (e.g., AQU Catalunya, ANECA). **Languages:** * Native or advanced (C1\-C2\) proficiency in Spanish and Catalan. * Advanced English (C1\), essential for drafting international proposals. **Technical Competencies:** * Proficiency with research project management platforms and research databases. * Knowledge of intellectual property regulations and research ethics. * Analytical skills for preparing reports and KPIs. **Personal Competencies:** * Leadership and ability to collaborate effectively with teaching and research staff. * Excellent communication and technical/scientific writing skills. * Results-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Proactivity, autonomy, and negotiation skills with external entities. * Commitment to academic excellence and educational innovation.
