BI development, user support, and digital transformation An industrial manufacturing company producing construction materials, urban furniture, and urban planning studies, located in Cardedeu, seeks to hire an IT Manager. Direct reporting line: Reports directly to the CFO. General Job Objective: Lead and manage the company's technological infrastructure, ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of information systems, as well as the proper integration of enterprise applications. The IT Manager must ensure optimal operation of ERP systems, databases, and corporate networks, drive process digitalization, and provide technological support across all departments. Special emphasis is placed on administration and optimization of the Sage system, as well as development and maintenance of queries, integrations, and data analysis using SQL databases. The IT Manager must ensure optimal operation of ERP systems, databases, and corporate networks, drive process digitalization, and provide technological support across all departments. Special emphasis is placed on administration and optimization of the Sage system, as well as development and maintenance of queries, integrations, and data analysis using SQL databases. Main Responsibilities: 1. IT Systems and Infrastructure • Administer and maintain the company's IT infrastructure. • Ensure server, network, and system availability and operational continuity. • Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity policies. • Oversee cybersecurity and corporate data protection. • Manage technology vendors and maintenance contracts. • Coordinate hardware and software installation, upgrades, and renewal. • Monitor system performance and propose continuous improvements. 2. Sage ERP and Management Applications • Administer, configure, and optimize the Sage ERP system. • Coordinate ERP implementations, upgrades, and related developments. • Analyze internal processes to maximize utilization of Sage functionalities. • Resolve functional and technical issues related to the ERP. • Collaborate with various departments to improve process integration. • Participate in digitalization and enterprise automation projects. • Prepare functional documentation and usage procedures. 3. SQL Databases and Business Intelligence • Administer SQL Server databases. • Design, develop, and optimize advanced SQL queries. • Ensure database integrity, availability, and performance. • Develop reports and dashboards for management and business units. • Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. • Provide user support for corporate information exploitation. • Participate in integration projects among enterprise applications. 4. User Support • Coordinate internal IT support services. • Resolve hardware, software, communications, and access issues. • Manage users, permissions, and security policies. • Train users on new tools and procedures. • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and user manuals. • Identify technological needs across different company departments. 5. Digital Transformation and Innovation • Lead digital transformation projects. • Evaluate emerging technologies offering operational or competitive advantages. • Identify automation opportunities through digital tools. • Collaborate with senior management in defining the company’s technology strategy. • Promote efficient and secure use of technological tools. • Analyze technology trends and propose innovation initiatives. * Experience: 5 years. Prior experience in similar roles * Computer Engineering degree * Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Telecommunications * Spanish (Advanced spoken and written) * Catalan (Advanced spoken and written) * Competencies / Knowledge: Qualification: Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent education. Technical Knowledge: • Advanced proficiency in SQL Server. • Proven experience in Sage administration and operation. • Knowledge of networks, Windows servers, and virtualization. • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection. • Experience with reporting tools and Business Intelligence. • Knowledge of application integration and process automation.
