Description

The site (Onity) is a business function recently acquired by Honeywell and, therefore, is in the process of integration into all aspects of Honeywell's requirements. In this role, you will impact our organization by developing and implementing required health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with Honeywell's HSE standards, country regulations, and industry best practices. Your expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance will enable us to mitigate potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Integrate Honeywell's HSE management system processes and safe work practices into daily operations. * Implement a robust MOS to maintain HSE compliance and adherence to all requirements. * Manage and continuously improve HSE programs, including management system procedures and operational controls according to Honeywell's HSEMS requirements. * Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement to support achievement of site objectives and ensure zero harm to all. * Promote HSE excellence and engagement through management, leadership, and employee participation, workplace risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training. * Deploy and manage HSE initiatives to continuously improve program and process performance. * Develop and implement safety programs to maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate HSE requirements. * Oversee and manage HSE projects as necessary. * Conduct on-site compliance reviews and safety audits as needed. * Drive compliance with applicable BCM and sustainability requirements related to HSE. * Ensure 100% compliance with all legal and other HSE requirements. * Lead, support, and participate in all internal and external HSE audits. * Develop a training tracker to actively monitor training requirements and compliance. * Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters. * Stay updated on all regulatory changes and report on emerging issues. * Manage HSE events (e.g., incidents) according to Honeywell's HSE management system requirements. * Provide timely reports to the Regional HSE Director on progress and/or escalations. IDEALLY YOU SHOULD HAVE * Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or equivalent. * Two to five years of hands-on experience managing HSE at a factory/ISC level. * An HSE qualification from an authorized government institute to act as a safety officer according to state or national legislative requirements. * OSHA or NEBOSH certification desirable. * ISO 45001 and 14001 lead auditor certification desirable. WE VALUE * Experience in developing, implementing, and managing HSE programs/projects in a manufacturing environment. * Experience handling HSE certifications, permits, and compliance. * Experience with HSE management systems. * Experience in ISO 45001 and 14001 certification. * Experience in energy management ISO 50001 will be an added advantage. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Innovative thinking to create continuous improvements. * Good practical knowledge of computer skills. * Experience in sustainability projects and scope definition. * Experience in business continuity planning and on-site management. * Project management experience with excellent planning and delivery skills. * Team player and collaborator.
