As part of our continued business growth, our team is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer capable of leading and developing teams to complete both small and large-scale projects. These projects span a wide range of building sectors including, but not limited to, industrial, healthcare, education, leisure, aviation, commercial, and defense. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical leadership, designing customized solutions, mentoring mid-level and junior staff, and developing calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications for electrical design work on exciting and complex projects. **Responsibilities:** * Perform electrical and lighting designs for projects of all sizes. * Make significant design recommendations and take design decisions with minimal input from senior staff. * Plan design work, estimate costs and schedules, and assign design tasks to subordinate staff working on projects. * Coordinate design and scheduling with other disciplines such as architecture, structural, mechanical, technology, administrative personnel, and equipment suppliers. * Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project records. * Act as an advisor and review correspondence prepared by junior members of the project team. * Attend project meetings or, when appropriate, delegate activities. * Meet with clients, prepare proposals and presentations, and maintain strong client relationships. * Assist in reviewing projects for quality control of other projects. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with emphasis in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program. * Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated equivalent of experience and/or education. * Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written). * Experience in team management/coordination. * Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, etc.). * Proficiency in engineering calculation software for the electrical discipline (CANECO, ETAP, etc.). **Additional Information** **LI\-AC2** **About AECOM** AECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, providing professional services throughout the project lifecycle—from advisory, planning, design, and engineering to program and construction management.
