Compliance with applicable regulations for electronic equipment is one of the key priorities in the laboratory and certification services provided by TECNALIA's Electronic Equipment Laboratory within the Digital Lab Services area. We are seeking a technically oriented engineer who wishes to develop their career in the working environment of an accredited test laboratory for electrical meters and other electronic products. *If you are a proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented person with the ability to adapt to new projects and enjoy teamwork.* *If you are interested in applied research and transferring the technology you develop directly to companies… Keep reading…!* ***What you will do:*** * You will join the Digital Area of the Lab Services Unit, Electronic Equipment Platform. * You will integrate into a team of 8 people composed of engineers and laboratory technicians, with your main mission being the **certification and validation services for low-voltage electrical and electronic products**. This includes primarily regulatory tests and specific technical specifications within the scope of tests according to MID and EMC directive requirements applicable to the aforementioned products. * After an initial adaptation period, you will be **responsible for performing electrical, metrological, and EMC tests**, contributing process improvements, providing customer support in the laboratory, executing tests, and preparing technical documentation, records, and test result reports. * You may participate as a technician in projects involving activities related to the described testing. * You will help **plan and execute metrological and EMC tests on equipment under the MID and EMC directives.** * You will contribute to ensuring compliance with the **laboratory accreditation requirements** by keeping procedures and technical documentation updated. * You will participate in **internal and external audits** related to the laboratory’s activities and accreditations. * You will contribute to training and advising other laboratory technicians. * You will take technical responsibility for **laboratory accreditations**. * You will **interpret standards and specifications** and will be able to develop test procedures and methodologies to create the necessary test environments required for laboratory testing. ***What we offer:*** * A competitive salary aligned with your experience and the value brought according to the position requirements. * Opportunities for professional growth in key industry transformation projects, enabling you to enhance your career and gain high-impact experience. * The chance to join a leading multidisciplinary team in Europe, where teamwork, innovation, and excellence are priorities. * Work-life balance measures to help you manage your responsibilities with well-being and productivity. * Indefinite contract * Education: **Bachelor’s** or **Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering**, majoring in **electrical** or **electronics**, or equivalent. * Languages: Advanced level of **English**, both written and spoken. * Experience and knowledge in **compliance and maintenance of requirements for ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories**, including processes and best practices, quality assurance activities, laboratory equipment control, internal and external audits, regulatory studies, traceability, and test documentation. * In-depth technical knowledge of the **European MID directive and regulations applicable to electricity meters** (EN IEC 62052\-11, \-21, EN IEC 62053\-21, \-23 …). * Experience in conducting **metrological tests on electricity meters** according to MID directive requirements. * Technical knowledge of the **European Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) directive and EMC regulations** (CISPR 11, 14, 16, 32, EN 61000\-3\-X, EN 61000\-4\-X ...). * Technical knowledge of **PRIME and BPL communication technologies** (EN50065\-1; \-7; \-2\-3\... * Experience in conducting **EMC tests** on electronic equipment and electricity meters. * Experience in conducting **electrical safety tests according to the European Low Voltage Directive and Electrical Safety standards** such as EN60255\-27 or others. * Experience in **setting up electrical/electronic test configurations** (using various equipment such as programmable power supplies, signal amplifiers, recorders, etc.). * Experience using **laboratory instrumentation** (power supplies, EMI receivers, signal generators, EMC equipment…). * Use of **specific software** for conducting tests and/or controlling test equipment. * Ability to communicate with empathy and assertiveness with clients, regulatory bodies, and team members. * Organizational skills to meet laboratory deadlines while maintaining proper interaction with other laboratory staff. ***We will value:*** * Knowledge of the **European Low Voltage Directive and Electrical Safety regulations**, and safety standards such as EN60255\-27, EN62368\-1, or others like EN61010, etc. * **Experience** working in **laboratories or companies in the sector**, particularly manufacturers of electrical or electronic equipment subject to regulatory requirements under MID, EMC directives... * **Experience** working in **accredited laboratories** and knowledge of their requirements and needs for maintaining and expanding test accreditations. * Use and handling of **electrical measurement equipment** (oscilloscope, PSU, MTE power supplies, OMICRON, Zera…, DC Load…) and the ability to operate various types of electronic equipment with their corresponding setups. * Organizational and management capabilities. *We positively value applications from individuals with a disability certificate of 33% or higher, in compliance with current legislation, the General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion (LGD).*
